LEYLAND-based wireless communications business, TES Radio Ltd. has this week announced that it has won a tender to supply radio infrastructure, two-way radios and secure communication accessories to Universities across the UK.
TES Wireless Communications Solutions specialise in radio technology and infrastructure systems and the Managing Director of the business, Keith Edwards has expressed his pride at being able to do business with such prestigious clients. “We already work with a number of sectors, such as public transport, security and off-shore industries – so we’re delighted to have been chosen by the North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) to supply secure communications technology to Higher Education institutions,” said Mr. Edwards.
“For security, maintenance and general facilities management, a secure and robust means of communication is absolutely essential – and as we’ve provided infrastructure and equipment to schools and colleges already, we felt well placed to deliver into universities.
“We’ve formulated specific offers for universities that we think offer really good value, but after discussing it with our team, most of whom have kids in education, we’ve decided that we’ll offer the same terms to any Lancashire school or college” added Mr. Edwards.
David Lamb, Category Manager at North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium, said: “We welcome TES Communications Solutions to the framework agreement, and look forward to a mutually productive relationship, that will see all parties benefit during the term of the agreement.”
