SOUTH Ribble MP, Seema Kennedy last week visited Leyland-based wireless communications business TES Wireless Communications Solutions.
The MP was given a tour of the company’s Bow Lane facility and saw a demonstration of how some of their radio systems work.
“It was fascinating to see some of the high tech solutions that TES deliver to the clients,” said Mrs. Kennedy.
“It’s great to see a small business in South Ribble that is providing secure radio communications systems to a wide range of sectors and is exporting all over the world.
“As an engineering and technically based company, TES exemplify the diversity of businesses we have in South Ribble.
“They are exactly the type of growing business that will provide skilled jobs in the future and this growth in advanced manufacturing will help us rebalance our economy,” added Mrs. Kennedy
Managing Director of TES Wireless Communications Solutions, Keith Edwards, said: “We were delighted to host to our local MP, Seema Kennedy.
“We got a great opportunity to brief her on our business, some of the challenges we face and some of our recent successes.
“Seema was very helpful and advised us about support we can get around apprenticeships and exporting. She also wanted to take soundings from us about the EU referendum as she’s keen to hear the views of South Ribble businesses.”
TES have had a successful start to 2016, winning a tender to supply radio infrastructure and secure communication accessories to Universities across the UK; as well as supplying First Manchester with “always-on” communications systems for their new Guided Busway vehicles.
