Digital First project is one of several areas where TES & UCLan are working together
TES RADIO is set to reap the benefit of working with Digital First, the project that is based in UCLan’s Media Factory facility in Preston.
Digital First provides strategic and digital marketing support to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop digital strategies that will ultimately help them become more efficient and profitable. The project is backed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Daniel Livingstone, Digital First’s Project Manager, said: “We are a multi-skilled and experienced team of creatives, marketers and digital experts with a long track record of working with SMEs and blue chip companies, helping them promote and grow their businesses using digital technologies.
“The overall aim of the project is to develop sustainable links between local businesses and higher education with a view to sharing knowledge, good business practice and to assist companies that would benefit from research input.
“TES Radio meets our criteria really well – they are a Lancashire firm, based in Leyland; they trade business to business; employ less than 250 employees; and have an annual turnover that is less than 50million Euros. They’re an exciting business to be working with as they are involved in delivering communications infrastructure to a broad range of sectors including transport networks, manufacturers, education and secure environments.”
TES Managing Director Keith Edwards, added: “Digital First’s support has been invaluable to us, as growing our business will be highly dependant on our digital strategy. The whole process has been very straightforward and we are benefitting from outstanding support.
“Besides helping us promote our business online, this support will have a direct bearing on our recruitment in the coming months and years. It’s also facilitated a growing relationship with UCLan which we see as vitally important in creating a talent pipeline for Radio Engineers, IT specialists and sales and marketing professionals.”
